Our 8th annual Dig Pink event is coming October 4th. The event promotes breast cancer awareness through the sport of volleyball. Last year NCLUSD was #1 in the state of California for their donation to the Sideout Foundation. Help make this year’s event even bigger by purchasing a new 2017 Dig Pink T-shirt by 9/15 and/or purchasing a linguisa ticket from any district volleyball player. Please contact Angie Mackovich-Reyes at Yolo or Vicki Felber at OHS for more information.

Students entering 9th grade at Orestimba High School will be enrolled in Math 1 or Math 1 Honors. During the spring of their 8th grade year students will make requests for courses. It is the student and guardian that make the choice for the student’s option to either take Math 1 or Math 1 Honors.
Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District has reviewed and piloted a new standards-aligned English Language Arts Curriculum for Kindergarten through fifth grade. Benchmark Advance and Benchmark Adelante, for Dual Language Immersion classrooms, has been vetted and approved by the California Department of Education. After a 5-month pilot, the district will be adopting this curriculum for all K-5 classrooms. This decision was made by a teacher pilot review team. If you would like to review the curriculum that will be adopted you can use the link below or contact Kim Bettencourt, 862-3670, and make an appointment to review hard copies of the curriculum.
