INTERESTED IN INDEPENDENT STUDY FOR YOUR CHILD?
NCLUSD will be offering a Course-Based Independent Study program through our Independent Study School Site for grades TK-12.
Please note: this is NOT the same as Distance Learning - this will depend on independent work
● TK-3 Students will have 1 hour per day of scheduled, synchronous instruction via zoom or call ● 4th - 8th grade students will have 1 hour per week of scheduled, synchronous instruction via zoom or call, along with “daily live interaction” (phone calls, wellness checks, counselors or instructional aides) ● 9th - 12th grade students will have 1 hour per week of scheduled, synchronous instruction via zoom or call
Students will not be eligible for extra curricular or co-curricular activities at their previous school site.
If a student needs to transition back to a traditional classroom, he or she is not guaranteed their original schedule/teacher at their previous site.
